Ops FuYoh Hrs

Firstly, for those who are uncertain of how it goes:

FuYoh Hrs is another promotional service that comes along with DiGi’s FuYoh prepaid package (promotional because no more FuYoh Hrs after 31/5/07)…The claim is that you need only pay for the first three minutes (at your normal call rate of 48cts or 38cts depending on your line’s call tier) of a DiGi to DiGi call and can talk for FREE for the rest of the call…

Sounds too good to be true? Well, there are some T&C:

(1) It is ONLY valid on Sunday 12 am to 12pm.(Yes…”off-peak” hours.)

(2) It is ONLY valid for calls to DiGi non-FnFs.(For calls to FnFs, normal rate of FnF call at 15cts/min apply.)

(3) It is ONLY free for a call duration of 60mins – inclusive of the first 3 mins that you are required to pay for.(So you actually pay for 3mins and get free call for 57mins lah.)

T&C(1) basically means if I’m going to get on with this “research”, I’m gonna have to be prepared to pull an all-Sundaynighter on the phone. No kidding! I actually had to make some call appointments waaaay before the intended call to ensure that my callee (the person I would be calling) didn’t sleep on me. Haha…I knew better than to call someone at such undecent time without giving them a heads-up. ;p

T&C(2) means that I will only be able to call non-FnFs, which sucks really, since my FnFs are very important to me and the best things in life are shared (but that’s not DiGi’s tagline ;p) especially if it involves anything with “FREE” written all over it. So, in order to “bypass” T&C(2), I had to use a supplementary FuYoh line (which will be referred to as Line 2.)

T&C(3) I wasn’t so sure of so I decided, Heck…Let’s put all of those T&C to the test…

And here’s what I’ve found out…

[ Please take note that this blog does not promote being on the phone for prolonged periods without the proper preparation (call appointments, enough rest, sufficient voice to spare and a well-planned tentative call plan) beforehand, especially research on T&Cs before attempting the call marathons as you are about to read.]

It was 12pm.

And I have successfully completed Operation FuYoh Hrs.

So what prompted me to do it you ask?

I have no idea actually…it’s just something I was somehow determined to accomplish…

Crazy… But totally worth it!

I got to catch up on old times with 11 people (12 actually cos during Call #4 I actually spoke to 2 persons) and with a total of about 7 HOURS on the phone, I was only charged RM 12.49!!! FuYOH!

Talk IS cheap! And for once, its not such a bad thing. ;p
